Susan Weber is the Senior Research Specialist and SAS programmer in the Social Research Office. She has been with the Office of Applied Social Research in Queens College since 1994. She received her BA from SUNY-Old Westbury and her MA from Queens College. She is the co-author of "Shifting Patterns of Spatial Inequality: Race and Class in the Developing New York and Los Angeles Metropolises: 1940 to 2000" in New York and Los Angeles in the New Millennium, edited by David Halle, and published by the University of Chicago Press.

She processes large datasets, manages all the statistical programming, and is responsible for project scheduling, budgets, staff and client relations. Her primary responsibilities include providing customized census profiles to New York Times reporters. She has been the consistent "source" in many New York Times articles in anything that is census related, and is responsible for analyses that appear in the New York Times Real Estate section of "If You're Thinking of Living In". Recently, this popular section has been compiled into a book; Susan was responsible for more than 134 of the neighborhood demographic analyses and mapping. Susan is a native of Long Island, New York and knows the metropolitan area intimately. She lives with her children on the southern shore of the island, close to her favorite place, the beach.
